If you need an appraisal of your Robert Wood painting for insurance, estate or other purpose, Jeffrey Morseburg can examine your painting and provide a written appraisal.

If you would like to have your painting authenticated, which ultimately is a matter of expertise, experience and sober judgment, arrangements can be made for us to personally examine the painting in question. In such cases, written documentation will be provided if we find the painting to be an authentic work by Robert W. Wood.

Jeffrey Morseburg and Morseburg Galleries have vast experience with works by Robert W. Wood. Howard Morseburg, founder of Morseburg Galleries, first knew Wood in the late 1950s. In the early 1970s, as a secondary market began to develop for Wood's early works, the Morseburgs started to work with him on authenticating his early paintings. Through both their long experience in the art business and visits with the artist in Bishop, they developed an expertise in Wood's work, including a knowledge of his various periods and subjects.

In the late 1970s, Howard and Jeffrey Morseburg began developing a photographic archive on Wood and gathering the recollections of friends, artists and dealers who had known him.

Over the past twenty years, Jeffrey Morseburg has sold, appraised and authenticated hundreds of works by Robert W. Wood. If you have a painting that you would like him to look at, you can e-mail or send an image to him for an initial opinion.
